The Marshalltown Convention & Visitors Bureau is selling the Merry Marshalltown cd's from November 5, 2010 through January 7, 2011.
Volume I features two original songs and both cd's feature holiday favorites performed by local and area musicians in a variety of musical styles from barbershop quartet to rock & roll.
Cost of the cd's are: $7 each or $10 if you purchase volume I & II together. The cd's are being sold at area retailers including: AmericInn, Best Western Regency Inn, Haven, In Stitches, Jiffy Convenience Store, Junction Restaurant, Lillie Mae Chocolates, Lowe's Flowers, Orpheum Coffee Shop, Parks and Recreation, Perfect Setting, Tremont Grille, Willard’s Furs and Fashions, and the MCVB office located at the Fisher Community Center. Net proceeds will benefit the MCVB’s special projects.
The MCVB Board of Directors supported the concept of the cd to showcase area talent and raise awareness of performance art in the Marshalltown area. Contact information for each artist/group will be included inside the cd case.
