Iowa Valley Bike Club will be hosting the annual Marshmallo Bike Ride on Saturday, May 10, 2008. Encouraging family participation, a special $20 package is being offered this year which will include a 10 mile ride on the bike path, a meal for the entire family and a one year membership to IVBC for all new members. For more seasoned bikers, rides of 40, 60, and 100 miles are again available for a $25 entry fee. On these longer rides a map, sag service, rest stops with snacks, choice of water bottle or patch and lunch following the ride will be provided. All rides will begin at the Y Cultural Center. The 100 mile ride begins at 7 a.m., all others at 9 a.m. Door prizes will be awarded. Helmets are required. Registration forms available at www.marshalltownbikeclub.com.

The children will create many personal masterpieces in this 45-minute play class designed for children to enjoy with a special adult. encourage creative thinking and don't worry about the mess! Discover advanced construction techniques in slab building and sculpture. Learn to make interesting glaze combinations. Minimum of 5 kids. Maximum of 12.

Should you wish to attend Thursday evening Open Studio, please call ahead, 641-753-9013. If nobody plans to come on a particular evening, we'll let our studio volunteer go home.
