The 9th annual "Grimes Farm Run...A Walk in the Park" is a 5K, 5M, 1.6M run/walk. Kids' races will be held about 9:00 am. The popular 5K is mostly on cushiony, grassy trails but also includes short bits on the asphalt bike trail. It travels through a shady woodland, along Linn Creek, up a killer hill, goes through a wetland and ends in a blooming prairie. The newer, more challenging 5M race goes along the 5K route but adds a more rustic leg that may include 2 creek crossings--weather-permitting. Prizes of $100 for overall Male and Female winners in the 5K and 5M runs and $50 for 2nd place will be awarded.
